Madhuvanthy Athreya, is an All India Radio 'B' Grade artist in Devotional Vocal Category. She has been learning music from the age of 4. She started her musical journey through Sri Sathya Sai Bhajans and it still continues. Her first Carnatic Guru was Sri. SP Ramh, disciple of Sri. Lalgudi Jayaraman. She has learnt under his tutelage for 8 years. Currently, she is a disciple of Smt. Savita Sreeram, for Abhangs and Namasankeerthan and Dr. M. Lalitha, for Carnatic Music. She has been accompanying her Guru Smt. Savita Sreeram for her concerts. She has been performing solo concerts at various stages, as a vocalist. She has performed Abhang, Namsankeerthan concerts for a few years. A few concerts have been based on the Sangeetha Kathakalakshepam form and Sampradaya Bhajans.
